I have oft ...

I have wondered if this is true, then we should be
so filled with wisdom that we would have progressed
to much much furthur than where we are at now.
So? What gives?
Especially in our spiritual work we learn about how
we have been doing for many lifetimes; then why are
we still here?
I suspect perhaps that there is only one lifetime and 
this is it. All else is programming?
