The beauty of art is that a piece of painting captures
a moment in time for eternity - a moment which in
real life is gone in a moment before the heart has time
to dwell on it and savour it. The mind moves on from
these myriad frames of life without missing a step as
it skips to the tune of life itself. So precious is the painter
who is able to transfer these "stills" of life onto canvas.
We have lost so  much of the art of living graciously - to enjoy
a book in a park, to be well groomed for its own sake, to hold
a polite conversation with style, we literally trample through
life nowadays . Or perhaps this is only possible when one has
servants and slaves to do the chores that frees one to just be well
groomed and gracious?      Susila.
